Vacation Essentials

The Hubs and I are headed to Mexico for the week this coming Monday, and I am beyond excited to get out of this long cold winter and into some much needed sunshine. While I put myself on a spending freeze for this vacation, that didn't stop me from doing some online lusting over some perfect vacation essentials. These definitely inspired me to pull some old goodies from my closet and re-style them for this trip.

Harmelss Harvest

Just wanted to share with you guys my absolute new favorite discovery. 100% Raw coconut water from Harmless Harvest. This is the BEST coconut water I've ever tasted. It's not heated to remove pesticides instead it's pressurized. It's not overly sweet like a lot of coconut water I've tasted and it has a slight buttery finish to it. It's the closest thing to drinking straight from the actual coconut. It's of the pricier variety but I'm telling you if you want good coconut water this is worth every penny!

Bellflower Bay

 I honestly NEVER win anything. So when Diana over at ex-Press-o announced me as the winner of the Bellflower bay giveaway I was shocked and thrilled. The ring I won is a gorgeous green tourmaline. It really is such a beautiful dainty ring. Thank you Diana and Bellflower Bay for hosting this giveaway. I really love the ring I won!

Penny Picks

Ok, maybe I've been living under a rock, but can you believe all these goodies are from Jcpenny and not one item was over $45??  I went in there after work one day just out of curiosity because I've been taking note of their awesome ads lately. And boy was I blown away. That red faux leather bag feels so soft and supple I almost thought maybe for a second there it might actually be leather! The little cigarette pants I purchased don't fit too well. They have a very big spec at Penny's, but it was only the waist, and nothing a good tailor cant fix. They were only $25, so it will be worth it! I wore the bag and the nude bow kitten heels here. I cant wait to wear the rest of my loot as the weather starts to get warmer. Have any of you taken a peek in Jcpenny lately? Or have any other good bargain stops to share?

Getting Childish

             Happy Monday everyone! Just wanted to let you in on a little series I've been working on that is now up and available for purchase in my new etsy shop. Whimsical Balloons done in digital water color. I work in childrenswear full time so naturally I have a strong affinity for children's art and prints. I created this series initially to be a gift for a friend, but I loved the first balloon so much I just kept going. These would make a lovely baby shower gift for a Momma to be :).

The Perfect Spring Carry-All

I stumbled across this bag the other day while perusing Banana Republic online. I instantly knew this was perfect for me. I'm such a sucker for that carry-all satchel shape. Top handles and a long strap just pull at my heart strings. So I did what any sane girl would do after noticing the 30% off promo code up top. I purchased two, the blue (which they call mint but it's more blue), and the chalk  (I swear it was only because I needed to see the colors in person). After they arrived the decision is not getting any easier about which one to keep. The leather is soft, and the size is just perfect for a work bag. My husband even told me to just keep em both. But that seems a bit excessive.....or maybe not....?

It may be freezing outside here in NY and the snow may be coming down but I definitely have spring on my mind. I'm currently obsessed with lady like short shorts. They are sweet and sexy all at the same time. All these picks are from Forever21 and you really cant beat the prices. I purchased #1 and cant wait to wear them on our vacation next month, they are too cute!

 The weather in NY this weekend was beautiful! I can see the light beyond the dreary cold winter! We spent the weekend locally, eating a lot, shopping a little, and just enjoying every moment. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

We recently received our wedding video and through tearful eyes we re-lived our special day. My sisters speech was of course a tear jerker, but the very ending was my favorite part. These beautiful words that I somehow have to put into a beautiful artwork to hang in our home, so we can remember each day to have peace, strength, and love, no matter what life may bring. Anatomy of a Resume

Can I just start by asking when did resumes get so fancy?!? I wouldn't really know what is trending in the resume world because I've been working at the same company for way longer than I will ever admit. I must say though I'm loving the idea of a personalized fancy resume that represents you and what you're about. When my sister asked me to design her resume I of course obliged. She had some specific ideas of what she wanted it to look like, and together this is what we came up with. It was oddly a pretty fun little project. You see 3 different name designs at the top because we were testing out what we liked more. In the end we went with the center version. Have any of you tricked out your resume?
