Something Blue

These are the cutest shoes ever! And to top it all off they are probably the most affordable shoe I've ever purchased! Oh and also really comfy! It all started while I was stalking the Internet for wedding shoes (I did find a pair but I'll have to keep that hush hush for now) I stumbled upon these at DSW and the price was just incredible, so I went ahead and ordered the black and the blue just to see which ones I liked better...... Well of course I'm keeping them both, they are too adorable not too!!

Friday Favorites

Please excuse my lack of posting this week. I've been working on some wedding related projects. Save the Dates which are done!  I can't wait to share them with you all. Unfortunately it will have to wait till all my guests receive theirs.
      This week while I wasn't working on wedding things or at work I was putting to use some holiday gift cards. I know I know, a bit early, but I couldn't help it! The 60 degree weather on Wednesday here in NY got me in the shopping spirit. Here are some of my favorite purchases from this week...

Happy 2012

I can't believe its been almost a full year since I last blogged! Well it's never too late to start it up again so here I go.
             2011 was an amazing year filled with new adventures. Lets see...My best friend had a baby, which was so amazing I cant even begin to describe. John and I ventured to 8 weddings in one year! And in between he popped the question!

So my 2012 will be filled with lots of exciting things. Wedding planning is well underway and while it's probably the most stressful thing I've ever had to do (even applying for college was less stressful) It's most certainly the most exciting. So here's to a great 2012 one filled with love, health, and all things positive!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

Went home for a few days to visit my family and not soon after I walked in my mom was bursting with excitement to show me her new shoes. My mom has always had great taste in shoes I guess we can see where my obsession stems from. She has more shoes than even I have! When I was able to pick up my jaw and stop drooling over her new Aldo purchase I asked if she'd like me to snap some shots and put them on my blog, upon which she let out a little giggle, scratched her nose with both hands (something my entire family knows she does when she's excited about a new purchase) grabbed her lipstick and hammed it up for the camera. Which goes to show you the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. I seem to be a replica of my mother.....I don't mind one bit!!

 

A Shoe story....

I'm not supposed to buy shoes......no, CAN'T buy shoes, will NOT buy shoes, won't even window shop a shoe store, that's how dedicated I am to NOT buying shoes!!!
I've even tried to stop thinking about shoes, which is basically like telling me to stop breathing!!
But like any addiction one must be weened off....so to indulge just the teeniest bit, I figure some glossy, happy, page turning browsing can't hurt.....trying on is dangerous for me, so I won't try on, I promise!

Buuuuut if I were to, let's say, just, oh....waaanndddeerr over to some department stores in the near future for, oh, let's say a casual afternoon lunch trip, and let's just say, for arguments sake, I passed the shoe department while trying to get to the kids department, for work of course (because naturally this is the only reason why I'd be in a department store in NYC, right?..... I only shop for work...really its true....fine! dont belive me!) , but since I'm already there, and it WAS on the way.. I'd probably go in search of these....

But I won't try on! I'll touch...and fondle....and maybe, just maybe, when no one is looking I'll sneak a quick little sniff, because the smell of new shoes is an aphrodisiac for me. But I WON'T try on...I absolutely cant try on, trying on is like a gateway drug for me, its the kiss of death. When I try on shoes they somehow appear in my closet.....Better yet I should just stick to flipping through magazines... (sigh).

I love stumbling upon a shoe sale, which is what happened last Week at Macy's. And to top it off I had what my mother would call GOODIES (20% off coupon). I Got these Dolce Vita Platforms I had been Eyeing which went on sale! and these super sweet Marc Fisher Cut out Bow Pumps also on sale! Super yummy!

Michael Kors "Gansevoort"...

Still in the process of cleaning out that closet and I stumbled upon these Michael Kors "Gansevoort" brand new in the box!! That I purchased back in Feb. There's seriously something wrong with you if you buy shoes keep them in the box and never wear them for months!....I have issues I know!

I've never worn them, not once!! While I do LOVE them and just tried them on few times, asking my boyfriend what he thinks about 100 times (poor guy) I decided I don't need them, want to keep them, yes just to look at them in my closet but I just have way to many shoes! So I put them up on ebay.........or wait......do I need them? AHHH I'm so indecisive I guess I'll just see how they do on ebay!!!

 

Mini Me Jellys

I love the Vivienne Westwood for Melissa jelly heels. They're quirky and fun. I personally own these "Lady Dragons" in peach with big black hearts and and a pair of red with red bows. And a pair of black flats with tortoise shell bow.

But how cute is it that they now have mini me versions for Babys!! Just to die for! If I had a little girl I'd have to get these!!

Wednesday best....

So I've been cleaning out my closet, this is an on going task for me. I have some organizational ideas I'd like to implement in that dreadful walk-in of mine but that's a post for another day.

In the process of organizing and arranging my shoes and clothes I keep stumbling on things I either totally forgot I had with tags still intact or things I am willing to part with for good. Yesterday I came across these shoes I picked up back in either January or Feb. from Forever 21 that I totally forgot I had. They must have cost me no more than $23.00 which means I'll be cursing them and the pain they cause by the end of the day but I decided to give them their time in the spotlight bc they are super cute! I love the floral pattern. I paired them with skinny jeans, a coral shark bite hem tank and my cropped ivory lace motorcycle jacket . Oh and last but certainly not least of course my Justina Leigh "Kennedy" Necklace!

Valentino Love

Bows bows bows. These are a few of my favorite things! I looovvveeee this trend and I hope it sticks around for a bit. I have headbands, and sweatshirts, and shoes (oh my) with bows! I fell in love with these Valentino jelly bow flip-flops while in LA and had to have em! It was a major struggle to find my size but eventually I made it happen. Or intermix did to be exact! They come in a few colors, the pink were oh so cute but I stuck with tried and true black! Valentino = love! I'm shoe obsessed and tend to go for the less traditional ones sometimes, and these are just that!!!
