Make up Essentials...

When it comes to makeup we all have our favs and I LOVE hearing about everyone's different takes on make up products so I figured I'd let you in on some of mine. A couple of days ago I stopped in Sephora for lipstick. Just one, because I forgot mine at home and I was heading out for some drinks after work. But of course I walk out with way more than lip stick. All items I'm pretty happy with so its all good! I purchased two of these Sephora brand lipsticks and I'm totally hooked! They stay on forever and they go on super smooth! I got No7 and No10 (my fav! a deep rust/red seen in image below), I also got  Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, and this item I did not get from Sephora but it's my all time fav mascara that leaves my lashes looking like little butterflies, L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon black!

Does anyone else have any must have beauty products?

Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY for a Justina Leigh Bracelet AND a mystery prize!!

Happy Friday!

HAIR THERAPY

After my obsession with Obre hair, I basically fried my ends trying to get them a lighter reddish blonde shade. After all the bleaching and then blow drying and god knows what else I've put my hair through my ends where flaking off! So recently I got a really great hair cut by a friends long time hair dresser, he didn't cut too much off, as I thought he would, due to the awful state my ends were in but instead he gave me such a great tip! OLIVE OIL. He told me to rub it into the ends, leave it over night, do this a few times a week and eventually my ends would be smoother and not brittle. I tried this on Sunday and wound up leaving it in all the way till Tuesday morning. I let my hair air dry and then blew it out last night and I cant even believe how soft and silky my hair is! And I'm all about instant gratification so this is the best beauty tip I've received in a long time. I feel like an Herbal Essence commercial! lol I'll be doing this weekly! Oh and I also read that oilve oil is good for your cuticles and that cutting them is not. I'll have to stop doing that too. Do any of you loves have fantastic beauty tips??

Just took a stroll over to Sephora to get the "Only Gold For Me" nail color by OPI- exclusive for Sephora (will post pics later on this crazy glitter nail color) and I had no idea I had 500 points on my Sephora VIB card! Which meant I was entitled to a super cool freebie!! It also meant that I was spending entirely too much $$ on make up but whatever! This is what I got:

My New found love for Lovejoy

While frantically trying to get ready today I dropped my beloved Nars Orgasm blush. Completely shattered! There were little bits of iridescent pink powder all over my bathroom floor! Now the mess it created and how I would inevitably have to clean it was not what had me screaming 4 letter words! My fav blush that was not so used either was gone! I've been a devoted user of this color for some time now even though I purchase other Nars colors I seem to always go back to the big O. So after cleaning the mess I realized I need to find my back up blush; Nars Lovejoy. I don't even know why I stopped using this color!! It suits me so well! Maybe it's the slight tan I'm sporting, but the golden undertones along with the bronze pink color is just perfect!! I'll be sporting Lovejoy all summer!

see my bronze cheek? :)

Shower Sherbet

I'm always looking for really good body scrubs. So far The one from Sabon that my Bestie surprised me with this Christmas is my fav. But in keeping up with my recently acquired 12yr old mind frame - see post: GLITTERIFFIC (I think I've been designing tween clothes for too long)

I came upon this one by Me Bath in Duane Reade yesterday, Its all natural and paraben free.

I used it this morning and I have to say its worth the $28. First of all the tub is pretty big. You get a lot for your money, and two the papaya nectar scent is so delicious I wanted to eat my arm after the shower!!! And yes it left my body feeling super soft. The only thing that I wish it had was the oil base the Sabon one has. That one leaves my skin feeling like butter. But I'll Keep this one for every day use and the Sabon one for special days!

Glitteriffic

I've been getting a bit bored with my nail color options lately (esp since when my mom saw the ChinChilly I had on last week she said it did nothing for my skin tone!) So while in Duane Reade searching for a color that would tickle my fancy I came across these Sally Hanson Hard as Nails glitter colors. A bit outrageous, yes but super fun and super Glam! At $2.99 it was a steal so I Bought a couple of different glitter options. I Think I'll be playing around with these all summer. Each color base coat you choose gives it a totally different look!

Here I have on Essie "Watermelon" as a base, with two coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in "Rock Star Pink"and then my super shiny Miracote fast dry top coat.

Show me your buns!!

I Recently attended an all girls outing for the premier of SATC 2, what a great night! My Best friend showed up in a puffy ballerina skirt and her hair all pulled back in a high bun. She was adorable and soo Carrie-fied!! I LOVED the ballerina-esque look of the entire ensemble literally HEAD to toe down to her ankle wrap wood heeled sandals. My Fav part was the high bun!

I'm hoping this trend takes off bc its seriously chic. I cannot wait to try it although mine will be more Audrey Hepburn than Ballerina bc of my newly cropped bangs but I think I can pull it off. See some Celebs rocking the bun.

Chill out with CHINCHILLY

Weathers heating up now so chill out with "Chinchilly"!!

Photo Credit: "Shake It" App for iphone

My new obsession nail polish!! It's an awesome cool grey color that works with all skin tones! Its like right in the middle of Essie's "Playa Del Platinum" (which after a trial run with this color did NOT look good on my olive toned skin, but if your fairer it works) and OPI's "You Dont Know Jaque"
